Webuild's "Cantieri Trasparenti" (Transparent construction sites project)
“Cantieri Trasparenti” is Webuild’s communication project that brings the public closer to the infrastructure sector from the initial project stages.
Through webcams that film works on a 24/7 basis, Webuild chooses transparency and allows those not in the construction site to also step into it and follow closely how some of the Group’s most important works are being built in Italy.
These works are transparent, open to citizens, aspiring engineers or curious people who are interested in understanding what happens inside a construction site. It is a new way of telling the story of Webuild’s infrastructures, which has been already seen when the Group built the new Genoa San Giorgio Bridge, and that now is also been used for the other important works currently being built in Italy.
The new Genoa San Giorgio Bridge was in fact the first occasion of this agreement with citizens, with 6 active webcams, active 24/7, for which it was possible to see how the work evolved in real time.
With “Cantieri Trasparenti” (Transparent Construction Sites) we make our construction sites open and more accessible. We tell a story of the technology, innovation and sustainability behind the projects that are being built by us. We bring our works closer to those who will use them, showing the public the added value of large complex infrastructure to support current and future generations.
With our 32 live active webcams we can now allow the public to see our Webuild construction sites in real time, and how they evolve for the most important complex infrastructure currently being built in the North and South of Italy, just like the Terzo Valico dei Giovi – Genova Junction, the Palermo-Catania-Messina High-Capacity railway line, Rome’s Metro C, the Verona-Padua High Speed railway line and the Naples-Bari High Speed railway (Naples-Cancello section and Apice-Hirpinia section).
